ANZA House and Events

ANZA survives and thrives because of its members and helpers, who volunteer to help run ANZA House, organise events and activities, welcome newcomers and work on Social Welfare projects because of the generous support it receives from the business community.

Through these people, our volunteers ANZA is committed to achieving its objectives of supporting their members and families and offering assistance to economically disadvantaged Indonesians for many years to come.

Monthly House Functions Team

Do you like organising parties? Why not join the monthly House Function team to arrange a fun get together each month at ANZA House.

Functions can range from casual BBQs to fun themed costume parties or the odd quiz night. No need to have cooking skills as the experienced house staff do majority of the catering. Just heaps of ideas a bit of creativity and a fun attitude needed!

ANZA Treasurer and Treasury Team

Do you love to count money and work with figures then come join our Treasury Team. Every week for 2 hours we count money  and pay ANZA Expenses. No prior experience is required, training on the spot. The Team works on a roster system.

Sponsorship

Sponsorship manages our Major sponsors and continue to seek new sponsors for ANZA We are looking for people to help organize prizes for our various functions and activities each month.

Secretary

Secretary/Admin is a great way to fine tune your skills in answering ANZA emails, filing, sending out letters, advertising various events, maintaining stationery etc.

Berita

Many hands make light work. Lots of ways to help with the Berita. Maybe you have a story to tell, been on a great holiday, have some fun jokes. We are always looking for more articles to go into the Berita.  Have you experience in layout and design we are welcome to new ideas.

House Manager

If you like to manage and organize, then come help our team run ANZA House. Everyone manages their own households, so managing ANZA House would be similar. Making sure maintenance work is completed, helping the ANZA House Staff; liaising with house function coordinators; help with the Front Desk Roster. Come and join our team.

Front Desk Volunteers

ANZA requires volunteers to help work the Front Desk from 9am to 1pm Monday to Friday. A great opportunity to meet new people. Front Desk Volunteers work on a roster system. Without volunteers on the Front Desk ANZA would not be able to function as well as it does. No Bahasa needed.

ANZA Bazaars

Held twice yearly in May and November. This is a fun job to do in a large group. You would help organize and set up the hotel, take registration of vendors and help getting prizes for the raffle.

Membership

ANZA has approx 300 members. Updating members files, organize New Members Luncheons, and look after new members bags and  organize ANZA Link Lady teams, which are a group of members who welcome new members to ANZA & Jakarta.

Social Welfare

We offer opportunities for hands on involvement at three project sites:

• a playgroup for young orphans on Tuesday mornings -

• a playgroup at an orphanage for under 5’s (including babies) on Thursday mornings
• a school for street kids where we hold fun classes teaching English and assisting families -   Thursdays and other days

Outside Monthly Activities

We are team of fun ladies who organize outings to various places in and around Jakarta – shopping trip to Manga Dua to buy handbags or trekking around Bogor. We need as many ladies as possible to share in organizing various outings.

Playgroup

Playgroup for children on Wednesday mornings starting at 9-30am. This is a very popular morning and we are always needing more people to help.

Melbourne Cup Luncheon

The one day in November that Australia stops. Is a horse race. ANZA loves to celebrate this day with lots of champagne, good food, great friends and “ the race”.  This is a fun event to organize, so bring your ideas and friends and be part of the team.

ANZA BALL

Once a year ANZA organizes a wonderful evening event every year. “The ANZA Ball”. This is a fantastic night to dress up with your partner and come and experience our ball.

Lots of people are needed in help organize and to help on the evening. It is a wonderful event to be involved in.

Fortunes Night

A  function not to be missed at ANZA The house becomes a gaming house for the evening and fun is had by all.  We need lots of members to join our team to help before the event and also on the night.
