Our Presidents Message

Welcome to the “Australia & New Zealand Association” of Jakarta! For those unfamiliar with ANZA Jakarta we are a Social hub for many expats living in Jakarta.

A not for profit Association run by volunteers. ANZA is all about fun, friendships & fundraising. We are lucky enough to have a club house in Kemang which has become a popular meeting point for members each week. ANZA has coffee mornings, activities, a playroom, secondhand library, gift shop and a café. And I am proud to say there is always a friendly face to greet you or just have a chat with.

All nationalities are welcome to join. In fact this year we had over 35 different nationalities listed as members. The wide base of nationalities that make up the membership of ANZA makes it a fantastic mixing pot of cultures with an Aussie/Kiwi feel.

ANZA also has one of the biggest Social Welfare programs within the many associations of Jakarta. Funds are raised through corporate sponsorship and donations from members. Not forgetting the ANZA Functions such as the ANZA Ball, Melbourne Cup Brunch and our 2 Bazaars, as well as our regular in-house themed nights which everyone can join in to have fun, in the name of a good cause! We have a dedicated team who attend to many regular and one-off Social Welfare proposals. They also implement the hands on approach of taking children from local orphanages to play or swim each week. In addition we support a large medical & student sponsorship program. Hats off to all of the hard working volunteers of ANZA & ANZA Social Welfare, who make it all possible.

If you are new to town please give us a call for directions and drop in to see us. (The front desk hours are Monday- Friday 9am-1pm). Whether it is, for a coffee, to join an activity or to volunteer some of your time, we’d love to meet you. Friday coffee mornings are the best time to see ANZA House buzzing with activity or call in during the week for a quiet tour of our great club house.
